In this role, you’ll collaborate with a dynamic marketing team, create eye-catching visuals, and help shape the brand identity of a mission-driven organization.
All applicants must be located in the Eau Claire/Chippewa Valley Area & include a resume, cover letter, transcript and their anticipated graduation date when applying. If selected for the internship, you must be able to commit to the full 12 months and be enrolled at a university or technical college throughout the length of the internship.

What You’ll Do:
The Graphic Designer Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting the Graphic Designer with the visual identity of Royal Credit Union. This role creates high-quality graphic designs and executes creative initiatives to enhance awareness of Royal Credit Union's products, services, brand, and mission. Also, develops graphics and layouts for various marketing materials that align with our strategic goals and effectively engage audiences. This role helps maintain a consistent brand image and clear visual messaging across all channels, and is a collaborative contributor who ensures marketing efforts are cohesive, creative, and innovative.

Our Commitment To You:
Compensation: $17.85 - 19.98 per hour (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)
What’s Needed For This Position:
Enrolled in a University or Technical College program related to Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising or similar field
Must be bondable
Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office products
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Willingness to learn, adapt, and collaborate with a team
Familiarity with digital tools and eagerness to explore new technologies and design trends
What We’d Love To See:
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
Intern Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Create a wide range of visual assets including digital and print materials such as social media graphics, brochures, flyers, and advertisements, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
Collaborate with the marketing team and stakeholders to manage the full lifecycle of design projects from concept to distribution.
Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) to produce high-quality, modern, and engaging designs.
Support asset management, vendor coordination, and reporting on design performance metrics to inform future projects.
Conduct research on design trends and competitors to continuously evolve Royal’s visual identity and test new creative approaches.
Work Schedule:
Working approximately 15-20 hours/week during the school year and 35-40 hours/week during the summer. Generally working variable hours between 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday based on class schedule.
Must be able to work
remotely
throughout the school year and during breaks.
This is a limited term, non-benefit eligible, position that will go from May 2027 - May 2028.
Must be able to commit to the 12 month internship.
Training:
Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging.
Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal’s culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.
